Organised cable guidance is a must for mobile desks. With the new OCO.32.37.0, it's a piece of cake. It also has a simple design that blends unobtrusively into any office. In 2019, talks began between the igus branch in the USA (igus® Inc) and a global player for office furniture also based there about a new concept for a furniture energy chain. They are currently using a self-designed, relatively lightweight cable tray. They were therefore looking for something stronger and more visually appealing to modernise their desks.

igus pursued the project and was able to present a concept with a refined design towards the end of 2022. This inspired the office furniture manufacturer. Over the past 2.5 years, several design iterations have been made, optimising the size, strength and aesthetics of the chain and testing its function with the customer's cables inside. The current design uses a bracket at both ends that can either be screwed or attached with a special rubber-coated magnet to provide additional grip on the work surface.
