drylin® E proximity switch - limit and reference switch with polymer housing
The proximity switch, also known as a limit or reference switch, is used to limit the travel length of linear axes with a power amplifier combination and, above all, to protect them. They are also indispensable for homing with incremental encoders. In the igus® product portfolio, proximity switches are divided into closers (NO) and openers (NC). The closer is open when it is idle, and the contact closes when it is actuated. With openers this is the other way around. Furthermore, a distinction is made between the PNP and NPN switching output. The positive pole is switched at the PNP output and the negative pole is switched at the NPN output. In addition, you can choose between an M8 connector and a 2m cable. The 2m cable serves as an extender of the 30cm M8 connector.
